My name is Karina! I'm an animator, writer and illustrator based in San Francisco. I'm on a mission to tell stories that bring joy and wonder to audiences of all ages! I love solving problems through a design-oriented mindset while channeling a variety of creative tools and technologies.
Currently, I'm pursuing a BFA in Animation at California College of the Arts with a Minor in Writing and Literature. I also study with incredible instructors at Animation Mentor!
In my free time, I volunteer as a Partnership Associate with Asians in Animation. We foster community relationships for Asian creatives in VFX, Animation and Film around the world.
For fun, I write/illustrate children's books such as Kai’s Tea Eggs, where I explore themes of Asian culture and childhood development.
When I’m not at my desk, you can find me outdoors immersed in evergreen trees and sipping on chamomile tea.
